DK Pierce Becomes Employee-Owned

ZIONSVILLE - Zionsville-based DK Pierce & Associates Inc. is now an employee-owned company. The consulting firm, which focuses on the healthcare and life sciences sectors, says the Employee Stock Ownership Plan status enhances its more than 20-year partnership with biopharmaceutical companies.

The firm is now included among the 167 companies in Indiana that are ESOP.

“I wanted DKP to always be independent and to be able to operate in our areas of maximum expertise and impact,” said Denise Pierce, president of DK Pierce & Associates. “We don’t want to become generalists. We have always been specialists —working with clients around the country to ensure access to clinically meaningful oncology, rare disease, and gene/cell therapy products. We’re here to stay in this unique niche — and in Indiana.”

The firm says converting to an ESOP means it will continue to remain stable in the biopharmaceutical and healthcare delivery markets, despite ups and downs of the industry.

“For us, becoming an ESOP ensures longevity and the fulfillment of our mission to ensure patient access to care,” adds Pierce. “The DKP of today will become the DKP of the future, and I wanted our passion and values to be driving that legacy, not some external pressure or profit-hungry force.”

The firm says Pierce will remain its president and chief executive officer.
